Stay as Calm as You Can
Being the parent of a child with anxiety is not always going to be easy. There are going to be times where you are going to feel upset because of the way your child is behaving. However, it is important to remember that your child is not acting a certain way intentionally. When your child starts becoming agitated, do what you can to stay calm and positive. When your child notices that you are calm, he or she may start to calm down in the middle of an anxiety attack.
Sometimes giving your child a big hug during a breakdown can make such a difference. It lets your child know that you are there for him or her. You are trying to be as understanding as you can possibly be when your little one is going through a difficult moment.

Helping a child with anxiety may include taking the child to visit with a therapist for counseling sessions. Many children can benefit from talking about their anxiety and the different symptoms that come along with the condition. These symptoms include feelings of being scared, nervous, irritated, and simply upset. Although things will not always be easy for your child, being supportive is the best way for you to help your little one.
